Colin&Cie becomes official partner of the Swiss Red Cross

The decision for closer future strategic cooperation with the Swiss Red Cross (SRC) is based on the enormous success of the "Social Responsibility Initiative" developed together five years ago. The initiative provides the opportunity to invest in sustainable investments and take social responsibility. Since the outset, the SRC helps to select suitable local Red Cross projects that are directly supported and co-financed by Colin&Cie and its customers.

Since 2019, wealth managers Colin&Cie, its customers and the SRC have been committed to promoting greater equality and reducing poverty in society. The Social Responsibility Fund arose from the idea to combine sustainable wealth accumulation with social value creation. Colin&Cie invests the fund assets in a best-in-class approach on the financial markets, in a selection of the best investments worldwide that meet the strictest ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) criteria. Unsustainable sectors are categorically excluded. Some of the proceeds benefit Red Cross projects. “In recent years, besides a very attractive financial return for investors, we have also been able to generate a social return of more than CHF 850,000. We look forward to growing this initiative with the SRC and providing even more socially and healthily disadvantaged people in our society with a more secure and sustainable future,” says Thomas Warnecke, CEO and founder of Colin&Cie.

Every Colin&Cie customer can take part in the initiative. The investors themselves vote each year on how the surpluses will be used and decide which projects should be funded. The Colin&Cie commitment has a local perspective and the proceeds are invested in projects by the regional Red Cross associations in Switzerland and Germany. In the period 2023/24, a total of CHF 300,000 was invested in local Red Cross projects for the benefit of children and teenagers from low-income households, families seeking protection and elderly and sick people. Funding was provided for projects run by the SRC cantonal associations in Zurich, Zug, Schaffhausen and Ticino and the DRK local associations in Saarland and Rheinland-Pfalz.
