In Wealth Management in Zurich, Colin&Cie is further expanding its team of advisors with Thomas Schilling, focussing on "regional clients". Following the latest addition, a total of nineteen people are employed in the city on the Limmat, fifteen of them in client service.

Thomas spent the first ten years of his professional career at Union Bank of Switzerland. After completing his banking apprenticeship and a junior staff development programme, he worked as an assistant in wealth management. As part of his further training and specialisation, he successfully completed a degree in business administration at the Zurich School of Business and the Certified Wealth Management Advisor CWMA course.

With the merger of Union Bank of Switzerland and Swiss Bank Corporation, Thomas Schilling started as a client advisor in Wealth Management at UBS AG in 1998. He has remained loyal to this role to this day and has built up a high level of expertise in advising and supporting wealthy clients over this long period.

When asked why he decided to move to Colin&Cie after 35 years with one of the world's largest asset managers, the new partner replies: "I was looking for an opportunity to advise clients even more independently and comprehensively than before, ideally in an environment with greater personal responsibility and a flat hierarchy. Colin&Cie focuses on a high level of advisory and investment expertise and combines the best of both worlds: The processes and security of a bank with the independence, client-orientation and continuity of an external asset manager."

Thomas Warnecke, founder and CEO of Colin&Cie is delighted with the new addition: "It takes a lot of courage and motivation to break away from a traditional banking structure after such a long time, to leave your comfort zone and take a new path. With a forward-looking vision and successful strategy, an attractive service and business model and a culture of cooperation, Colin&Cie offers excellent conditions for a new start. I am convinced that Thomas will further develop his existing skills with us and find what he is looking for as a client advisor."

Thomas Schilling is married and a father of two. He lives with his family in the municipality of Langnau am Albis, just a few kilometres from the city of Zurich and Lake Zurich. Thomas enjoys spending his free time with his family and accompanying his children in their sporting hobbies. He leads by example when it comes to jogging and cross-country skiing.
